DECLUTTER LIKE A MOTHER 2023 HOW TO

She needn't have professional credentials, per se, but this has the air of someone who rolled out of bed one day and said, "I fixed my life so I'll make money off of telling people how to do exactly what I did even though I have no training in psychology or consumer economics or space planning." There's no reference (in the book, or on her site) of her ever having had a career or any kind of work experience prior to becoming a mother, as if she were born in 1957 and somehow sprung immediately to life in the 21st century.įor what it's worth, I had a gnawing sense that Cassazza reminded me of someone else, and later realized it was Rachel Hollis, whose writing peeves me. She has that very particular "mom" brand (at one point, she had three kids under the age of three!) we well as that of a sort of Millennial cheerleader style, so her approach isn't one that resonates with me. Again, not bad, but not particularly useful for the kinds of people who are seeking real help.Īpparently Casazza is a social media darling, but I've never heard of her. But this felt more like series of self-promotional blog posts strung together around a few central themes, but no more solidity than a handful of magazine articles.

Perhaps because I am a professional organizer, the bar is set very high for me to be impressed by a book about decluttering and/or organizing. I should make the point that this is not a bad book in terms of quality of writing I just found it to be lacking in depth, breadth, or specificity.
